Check them out here:
Spend Less At Christmas
Christmas is a time for everyone to sit back, relax, and enjoy the festivities. For me, Christmas is always better when you have kids. They get so excited, and it makes the season so much better. But, Christmas is also one of the costliest times of the year.
You will spend a lot of money during this holiday, but, you don’t have to. Save loads of money on wrapping paper, cards, and decorations by buying them early in the year. They’re a lot cheaper, and you can keep them stocked up for Christmas. Secondly, build up reward points with the grocery store of your choice. Then, cash them in at Christmas, and you can save loads on your grocery bill by using the points you saved. Finally, instead of buying stocking stuffers, why don’t you make some? Bake some gingerbread men and other sweet treats to stuff in your kid’s stockings.
Save Money On Family Holidays
For most families, the yearly holiday is something everyone looks forward to. The kids get excited about going away, and the parents are happy for some time off work. However, the cost of a family holiday can be pretty steep. There are flights, hotels, transport, and so much more that you need to pay for.
Thankfully, there are ways you can keep your spending in order. For me, a real source of high-spending revolves around getting to the airport. Some people pay for taxis or buses, etc. Others save this money by driving there themselves. The trouble is, you have to pay massive airport parking fees. My idea is to contact a ride sharing company like Lyft, as they’re cheaper than taxis. Plus, you can get plenty of Lyft promotions that make the price even cheaper. Next, always shop around for the best holiday deals. You can compare prices on comparison websites, and save a load of money.
Cut Down On Fuel Costs
The family car is a source of constant expenditure throughout the year. The biggest expense will be paying for gas. Driving around, dropping the kids off everywhere, can burn through fuel very quick. Before you know it, you’re topping up your tank every week.
This costs loads of cash, and you have to do something about it. You have two options; first, you should look at ways of conserving fuel. Drive more economically, and, only drive when it’s essential. Secondly, sell your car and invest in an electric/hybrid one. These cars are so much cheaper to run and will be worth their price in the long run.
All of these things cause money problems for families every year. If you apply my saving tips, you can keep your finances under control forever!
